FAQ

1. Why Custom Photography? One thing I hear over and over again from clients is the frustration they feel trying to get great photographs from chain studios. I have felt that same frustration myself. Chain studio photography is so impersonal and everyone's pictures end up looking pretty much the same. As a custom photographer I understand the importance of showing your child's true personality as they laugh and play while holding their favorite stuffed animal. I want you to have beautiful images on your wall of your family laughing because your middle child won't quit making funny faces. I want to be the one who captured that loving grin between you and your fiance' as you embark on your life's journey together. I want you to look at your baby's album and feel the overwhelming joy of your little miracle at two weeks old. I want to be the one to capture all of those precious memories for you.
2. Where will my session take place? All sessions are on-location. Most clients choose their home, backyard or a local park. Together we will come up with the perfect location.
3. What do we do if it rains? If we scheduled an outdoor session, we will have to reschedule. If your session is a lifestyle session we may still be able to do it.
4. What does a session include? Your session payment includes your session fee, digitally downloaded images (10 for Maternity and Watch Me Grow Sessions, 20 for Premium Sessions), and (1) Print Collection (not including Maternity sessions).
5. What do we wear? Go to the "what should we wear" section on my blog for some great clothing ideas.
6. How do I book a session? You can either fill out my contact form on my website or send me an email. avahillphotography@aol.com. Together we will decide on a date and a location. Half of your session payment must be paid to book your session.
7. What happens after I book a session? I will send you an email and ask you a few questions to get a good idea of what you want out of your session. Each session is customized to each client.
8. When is the best time to book a maternity session? Between 7 and 8 months is best.
9. When do I need to book an infant session? The best time for infant sessions are within the first 2 weeks of your baby's birth. At this time they are still curled up and sleepy which makes for better portraits. It is best to schedule your infant session while you are still pregnant if possible. If not, I will do my best to fit you in.
10. What happens after my session? Two weeks after your session I will send you an email with a link to your personal gallery which will be up for 5 days. After viewing your images you will choose your Print Collection, make payment, and your order will be on its way.

I specialize in fun, creative photography in The Woodlands, Tx and surrounding areas :-)
